So today I want out for a ride with a guy who is on the same local club site as me, So he swings by to pick me up to do a little single track stuff. Yikes, half my age and a 05 Beta trials bike. Oh oh this could be trouble. Well we get there I,ve never rode with a trials bike, now I ain't the greatest rider in the world but holy stizz that thing goes where I only dream of. He took me into killer stuff I would normally never go. So once I'd reach the point were it got to insane for me, he would come back down. Well I I try his bike and man all of a sudden I'm doing stuff I could never do on the old 500.
Very cool to try for the first time, many even add one to the floke. Any one else tried a modern trials bike?
Yikes, trial time

CR500's are not made for that single track stuff, they work, and suspension can be prepped to make them work better, but a trials bike is gonna be light years ahead in ability, no matter the riders skill level. But take that trials bike to open desert and sand dunes, where a cr500 is king, and the trials bike is a turd.
Don't Clyde it, ride it!
