water filter

Post by 100hp honda »

any people use water filter on the sink ? you can smell clorine 3 feet away in the water here. water in phoenix is terrible also. sure it wont do any short term damage but in 20 years you wont have any kidneys  . i been using a purifier on the tap for a while now, it says it filters out all the crap but who knows

if the filter contains activated carbon it will eliminate the chlorine and other smells and tastes out of the water. but if its really high in chlorine you may want to put a media filter in after the carbon filter that way it will trap any of the possible carbon particles that get by.

I installed a reverse osmosis filer about 6 months ago and love it, its on par with any bottled water.

Home depot mis priced the RO kit at $170 so I snagged it :D

the problem with R/O is that it strips everything out of the water including minerals. thats why it kinda tastes funny to most people.

but you do live in barstow...so it has to taste better than the reclaimed water they provide as drinking water

From what I understand, reverse osmosis is the only way to go. Howver the Fluoride needs to be gone. You don't want to brush your teeth laced with a pesticide do you?
