So far; clogged up half decomposed air filter, broken engine mounts, sludged motor and oil passages, every tire on the car was a different size, power steering pump was damaged, O2 sensors were bad, radiator was full of crap (heater core is still plugged), power door locks weren't getting juice, power window switches were damaged by somebody ham fisting them, transmission fluid was black and smelt like burnt toast, the OEM paper trans filter was 30 seconds from becoming more debris in circulation and the starter makes a terrible noise during start up...
Last night I thought I'd change the plugs, too easy. Pulled the first plug cap off the #4 cylinder and the fucking plug came out with it!! Gee that's nice...The #1 plug had the terminal end of the wire weld itself to the plug cap and had to be retrieved with reptile feeding tongs. #2 plug had the terminal wire end collapse into a pile of dust around the base of the plug and needed vacumed out. #3 was fine aside from the fact that all plugs had 2x the service manual's plug gap limit!
I don't expect much from this car for <$3000. But damn would it kill some folks to have a little pride in ownership of their vehicles? I mean fuck it only costs a couple bucks a year to maintain a grocery getter like this! After everything I've had to unfuck on this car it's actually pretty nice. Runs like a son-of-a-bitch and handles like a champ. Anyways...my first used car experience. It's been fun
