2nd run at installing main bearings
2nd run at installing main bearings
Ok I just want to confirm a couple of things before I install my main bearings into my '00 250 cases. First is: how long and what temp should do I need to put my cases in the oven for? Second: One of the cases still has a couple of bearings in them, do I have to take them out before they get the oven treatment (no seals in cases)?

Put the bearings that your gonna install in the freezer for a couple hours first, just lay the cases in the oven with the bearings facing down and they are gonna fall out, once they fall out then your new ones should be able to slide right in,I think I waited about 10 more minutes, mine old ones fell out in what seemed like a matter of minutes, just be quick putting in the new ones before the cases cool, honestly I can't even remember what temp my oven was on maybe 300,I did this for the first time just a few weeks ago and it works like a charmDesertCR wrote:Ok I just want to confirm a couple of things before I install my main bearings into my '00 250 cases.
