The greenies will love this. There are a few other companies already doing this with good results. I dont think I'd ever get used to the silence. Imagine supercross being all electric....very awkward!
The CR500 is an acquired taste. If you don't like it, acquire some taste...

I prefer the sound/smell of the 2strokes - superior sound to that of the fart can exhaust you hear now.

its probably so light. sounds like fun, i wonder what the power delivery is like? the range? probably a while off for a serious enduro bike.

the positives i can see:

low maintanence
no gas or oil to buy
light

electric motors last a really long time, even when run at high rpms. this could be sweet!

uh....after you put batteries on that thing, it wont be light.

and if they put small batteries on it, it will be garbage for anything but a lap on a closed course. no good for trail riding
