My project is on hold until I get my motor. The guy who I am buying it from was supposed to ship it last Wednesday but then he got busy and had no time. He emailed me back after I left a phone message saying he will ship it on the following Monday.

I emailed him on Monday and left phone messages today and still didn't hear from him. I really don't think he has intentions of shipping it.

I found a Mail Fraud form on the Post Office web site, I think this is my next step.

I hate it when people pull that crap. I purchased a spare engine a while back and it took the guy over a week to ship it out. The deal went through and I did end up getting my engine.
Dealing w/bastards like that makes us question those who are legit.

Sorry to hear about the bad issues....hope it all works out.

Did you pay him w/Pay-Pal??? P-P has buyer protection and they go after scammers.

I have a feeling he is lazy, he was really slow returning emails. He may be very busy person also, who knows.

I paid him by Bank Draft, he didn't want to use Pay Pal. I'm going to wait until Monday to send off the mail fraud form.

Does anyone here live in League City TX? That's where he's from.

I live in Austin. But, I go through there a few times a month. I think Jbird lives in the area.

Hopefully that motor looks better on the inside than the bike looks on the outside. He said he bought the CR500 from a Honda mechanic.

I haven't heard from the seller since Friday after leaving him a couple of phone messages and emails. Maybe another family member died.

I am going to have him charged with mail fraud if he doesn't get back to me today.

Bummer man,Kinda fishy if you ask me,Did he say why he didn't wanna use paypal,Death in the family is a feasible excuse like you said if its true but then not returning emails and calls now smells like a ripoff to me,hope you either get your engine or money back man, good luck

I changed my plan, I bought a 250 frame on eBay yesterday for $110.00. I wasn't concerned about making a new cradle, I just didn't want my front tire to hit the pipe. I already bought an FMF gnarly but a Pro Circuit is a better choice for a 125 frame.

I never heard back from the seller of my motor yet, I left him a phone message and sent a couple of emails.

I filled out a mail fraud complaint with the USPS, however I think they want you to wait 30 days before they do anything. He received my money on Oct 3rd. I also have the phone number from the local League City Texas Police department. I didn't call them yet, but I guess I should. I doubt it they can do anything for me.

If anyone here knows Tim Chason from League City Texas, let me know. That's who the seller is. I don't think he's a scammer, just a scatterbrain. He claims he is a manager at a used car dealer, so he is used to making promises that he can't keep.

Also if anyone has a mock up frame of a 500 motor they want to sell, let me know. Since I don't have a motor I need it to keep going with this project.

I've been working on it a bit this weekend. Does anyone what these brackets are for?
Image

When I cut the frame I noticed there was a little stress on the cradle, I hope the frame isn't bent.
Image

It looks like I will have to change the bottom spout on the right rad.
Image

Lots of room for the exhaust but the rad comes very close to the Y.
