Trying to start it, it felt like it had compression twice what I remembered, and it wouldn't idle. But I couldn't believe the compression. So after a lot of cussing and replacing crank seals 2 times, Rob129 gave me some help, turns out the guy I got the bike from had put the piston in backwards! dee deedee.
No shit, how weres the cylinder walls?

They were good. I took the cylinder to my shop, and they mic'd it and it was well within tolerance.I replaced the piston and rings and bearing though just for good measure. The bike ran supprisingly well except for not idling!

YUP! my '86 motor is wicked, MFDB couldn't start it and Daniel Ryan fouled my plug twice trying to start it. It took James a few minutes, but he did it! Then I had to really give Daniel and Justin a hard time!
