whats the biggest over size tank you can fit on a A\F i think ims makes a 3.2 for 97-99 and 3.5 for 00-02 but will they fit with the 5hun in there

That's a great question. What year and model AF are you talking about? I have a gen 3 and have been told the IMS 3.2 won't fit without the bottom being melted alot. The 3.0 Clark needs it too, but I have yet to see proof.

I have a 02 AF with a IMS tank. Not sure if its a 3.2 or 3.5 but with a little work it will fit. DON'T BE SCARED!!!

if you are talking about a gen-1, look around, I posted a lot of details. saty away from the IMS for a gen-1, there is way too much interferance around the headstay and you'll blow a hole in it, I did. the 3.1 clark fits well with little modification.

My Gen III is proof.

Depending on how lowered the front of the motor is will depend on weither it will hit the head stay. Mine was rubbing before the frame broke but not after. Its also a good idea to make a flat spot on each side where the head is. Normally there's only about a 1/8" clearance.

The key is with these tanks is take it slow and make sure the heat gun is at least 12" away and on low.

My Gen2 IMS bolts up with no mods! :cool:
The CR500 is an acquired taste. If you don't like it, acquire some taste...
