New Hydraulic Clutch !!!!

Post by BIGWORM500 »

I just put a Magura Hydraulic clutch on the 5hundy OMG what a difference it feels better than the clutch on my crf50 or should say crf 125 now i just put a new motor in it 2 . I love horsepower :D Well anyways if you don't have a hydraulic clutch go get one your left arm will love you for it. :D :D

I think most would get used to the "feel". You just have to learn to feel the bike more with your legs then your hands. My CBR1000RR is hydro and im just as good now as I was with my CBR929 (cable).

The biggest prob I see with hydros is you dont know your clutck is going out till you are stuck. So keep and eye on it!!

It does feel funny at first but i am sure i will get use to it.. That was the first thing i noticed it instantly engages there is no feathering the clutch, this thing probally wouldn't be all that good for hillclimbing for that reason. But then again i'm not a hillclimber by any means i just go BIG!

You can feather it, its takes to getting uses to.

By linear, I mean its 100% progressive..... like your pulling on a spring.

Due to the the arc of the pull on the lever, the mechanical set up is not progressive, and gives you some left hand feedback...

Stock CR500 , mechanical pull, with everything right with the world, is a rather nice set up.

Agree 100%. Both my 500's are the easiest, smoothest clutch of all my rides including my Aprilia, which has a Hydro.

If some reason I install heavier springs maybe I'll feel different.

Glad you like yours.

It's not that the stock clutch is that hard to pull in, but this is much easier... If there is a way to do something the same but easier i like it ..Iv'e done my fair share of hard work and i like it easy now, just like my Women. That's how i roll players play on!!!!
