Try it and see first. The instruction usually say go ridher one or two sizes on the main, but I don't buy that. However even if the stock pipe is still on theres a good chance that it could use a DG. needle , the dot being whatever cause its a wide range what people here use. A DGJ trans into a 1468. Goto sudco.com and study there chart for a few days.

I have run a 200 on this combo (aside from .050 off the head) it currently has a 185 or 190 cant remember. Pilot is a 52 I believe on a PWK 39.5. I have the DGN needle, 100 degrees, zero humidity, 2200 ft.

Jetting is also going to depend on mix ratio but I dont see the gnarly needing much if any more main jet than the stock pipe. I've been running HP2 @ 40:1 and my bike runs good WOT with a 160-165 main depending on elevation and temp. Pilot is 52 in most locations. 1368N needle but really needs a 14xx series though.

I'm switching to a PWK once I get this rebuild done though.

actually, I think the gnarly by itself needs leaner jetting. my gen-4 with a stock '90 motor @.030" bore+pwk+gnarly pipe runs a 45 pilot, dgn 3rd clip and 170 main at 44:1

the funny thing is I had this carb on my dunes bike before switching to a mikuni and it was at 55pilot, dgn 5th clip and 188 main. I left the carb alone and tried running it on my stock motor and it blubbered all over  jetting is very bike specific, so just tune as you go. You might not even be fully dialed in w/o the pipe anyway. I ususally crank things rich until it blubbers, then go 2 steps back and that usually gets me a nice clean tune w/o spooge or blubber, but also not lean.
