Good things happen to good people.....

Post by AlisoBob »

Our good buddy, John Ellett , just got a promotion at work that includes a change to a 4/10 work week.

John's old position required him to be "On Call" 24x7

This new position free's John up to attend WAY more rides.... and also spend more time with the family...

My boss came to me yesterday with the plan of split shifts. Work some in the morning then go home and comeback later to finish. I said what the hell!! Then he said their may be gas incentives. WTF???

Gas incentives, what the hell does that mean, maybe you're getting a company vehicle? :?

No company vehicle but pay you a little extra for the gas to go to work twice a day. I told him that was stupid. I got a hateful frown and a huff as he walked away. What a joke. The kicker is I only live about 6 miles from work so it wont be too bad. But I still think it is a dumb idea. As if working 5pm-2am didn't already remove me from my family enough.

Who knows??? That is why I told him it was stupid. My guess is they want the team leaders there in the morning when all the important stuff happens then go home till the supervisors get off and come back. He had no explaination in other words. Kill my entire day I guess....

Not 66 miles it's just 6. So its not all together that bad. Just wrecks a whole day.

Ya I know 6 miles. Saturdays here wreck the whole day to for second shift here 11am-4pm. Why bother, I may as well come in at regular time and stay the 8 hrs.

Good luck with that.

:hijacked:

Sorry about the HiJack but I didn't get my shift split. Wooo.. All the Supervisors did and I dodged that bullet somehow. I will not complain about it either. They are being made to work 6 hours then off 4 then back for 6 more. 5 days a week. haha
