Troy Meadows 8/29 to 9/1 CHANGED TO EVANS FLATS!!!!
CAMPGROUND NAME: Evans Flat
STATE: California
REGION: Pacific Southwest
RANGER DISTRICT: Kern River - Lake Isabella Office
NEAREST CITY/TOWN: Wofford Heights
RESERVATIONS: No
DIRECTIONS:
In Wofford Heights, CA, at intersection of of State Rt. 155 (E.
Evans) and Wolford Blvd, take Rt. 155 west 7.8 miles to Shirley
Meadows sign. Turn left at sign onto Rancheria Rd (Forest Rt.
25S15) and go 8.3 miles to campground on left.
NOTE: Last 5.7 miles of Forest Rt. 25S15 are gravel surface,
eroded in places and not RV friendly. For 20 miles, State Rt.
155 out of Wofford Heights is very steep (11% to 13% upgrade),
narrow in places, curvy, and not recommended (by state) for
travel trailers over 30 feet.
GENERAL COMMENTS:
The elevation is 6,000 ft.
The campground has the feel of a developed, dispersed site with
camp sites scattered throughout in a mixed stand of mature cedar
and fir trees. Although most camp sites have poorly defined
parking aprons, some with corrals (including troughs) and
hitching rails have large cleared areas for parking horse
trailers. The towering trees provide ample shade and are a haven for
song birds. Privacy between camp sites is fair to good. The
interior road and camp sites were constructed by the U.S. Marine
Corps Reserves 6th Engineer Support Battalion.

They have this new invention, its called the instructions.... They tell you which parts offer what level of performance.
Perhaps if you read the newspaper in 1939, you would have read the Germans were coming to England's ass.....

Mine will bark second and third at WOT.
The one thing to be sure when modifying the tranny is swap the springs in the valve body to increase line pressure (or get a modified valve body) don't do it the ghetto way with a tuner.
Ive seen more ford trannys take a dump through people incresing line pressure via the tune, it puts a massive load on the valves and quickly takes out your valve body then the clutches follow soon after.

We have a great Hoon friend that we dont hear from much.... catchmefucan (Catch me if you can)
Andy called me this morning to ask ..."if we are riding Kennedy Meadows again this year?"
Thats where we usually see Andy, and his friend Jim-bo.
I told him about the Evans Flats ride, and he sounded all excited.
He's going to check into it, and get back to us....

Hey Mike,
Got busy and forgot to call you back. I was really looking forward to riding Kennedy this year. What is Troy like compared to Kennedy? Does anyone bring dogs? I get back from a hunting trip to Alaska on the 25th so time is tight, But I would love to make this trip if you all think it is worth it. Would go up on Friday and come back either Sunday or Monday from OC. Going solo so far so if I make it does someone want to carpool??? I will make a decision next week, But I really want to go:-)

I would be happy to car-pool with you. I am in San Clemente so would come up to you in Orange and then we could head out. I cannot make the full trip and out on Friday and back some time Sunday night works better. I am open-minded about who provides the transport. I have a 4x4 Tundra and would be camping. Does this work for you?
