Question about new stock cylinders
Question about new stock cylinders
If you went to a Honda shop and bought a brand new cylinder, piston, pins, bearings, and rings, does anything need to be done to the new cylinder prior to installation? Would it need any bridge relief or other modification before you tried to use it? I'm not concerned with performance for this question, just want to know if you can buy a stock cylinder, slap it on with a new piston, and go?

To my knowlage, yes.... its ready to run. The chamfering of the ports and bridge relief occur after honing, and should be visible.
Dont forget to buy the head studs, they dont come with the jug.
THIS DOSENT MEAN YOU SHOULD SLAP IT TOGETHER.
You should still measure things, and check the ring end gap..
You be all good den'....
