Todays Thought....

Post by AlisoBob »

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

OPEC sells oil for $150.00 a barrel.
OPEC nations buy U.S. grain at $7.00 a bushel.
Solution: Sell grain for $150.00 a bushel.

Can't buy it? Tough! Eat your oil!

Ought to go well with a nice thick grilled fillet of BBQ Camel Ass!!!

Something similar happened in the early 20th century. I don't remember the details but several muslims were captured all but one was shot with bullets dipped in pigs blood. The one that was let go and told everybody else. End of the story.

I still think the supply/demand thing is bullshit, the demand has LOWERED if nothing else (seen the lot at carmax lately??? :D ) and the supply has and always will be there. there is absolutely no real reason for us to be paying more than $1/gal other than we are getting fucked! we need it, so we'll pay whatever they charge is what it comes down to! and the weak dollar is..... the oil companies fault!!! FUCK!!! I get so freaken mad!!!
I still wonder why we invaded one of the most oil rich nations in the world and I spent like $110 filling up 2 days ago :x

They gotta go get the oil
refine it
blend it
transport it
sell it twice (once to the station owner, then to us)
tax it twice ( road and sales tax)
US dollar isnt worth anything...
etc..etc..etc...

I think gas , while expensive, is understandable.

How much do you pay for this?

Talk about getting REALLY hosed....

hey, living in vegas, I have no problem paying for bottled water... have you ever seen what our tap water looks like??
thats right, I did say "SEE" and "LOOKS LIKE"

of coarse a 5 dollar 24 pack of bottled water lasts about a week and keeps me from dieing while working on my a/f in a 120* garage. $5 of gas won't get me to work. its all relative if you ask me...

did you know that you only get 19 gal of gas from a 55gal drum of oil. the rest is byproudcts. buttry this. the gas station fills there 10000 gal tanks and they are selling a gallon for 3.75. oil goes up and gas is now 4.00 a gallon. why should it go up until the stations tank is refilled?

funny isn't it.....
A friend of a friend in town ownes a few gas stations. He is the only one selling for $3.99 so there is always a line at his stations. He says he buys a million dollars of gas at a time and gets a discount. he cuts his profit margins a little more with the intention of just selling more. Hes making BANK!
