Hey everyone, I dont feel like playing around with the stem on my 98 triples i got..sooo, im just gonna swap out the whole frame on my 89. I Need a 96 or newer frame in decent condition. And by decent i mean one that has mounts that actualy have threads..I dont care about paint..cause I would be powder coating it anyway. Just drop me a pm or leave a post if ya got one. (edit) also if anyone happens to be in a backwards version of my position and has a uneeded 96 or newer and needs a 89 i will trade off.
ummm i think i have somethin a thread or 2 down Wouldnt take me too long to strip the bike back down to the frame for ya i would just have to part out the rest
Would a '95 really not do? I didn't think Honda made many changes to the CR500 in that era. Anyway, if a '95 is cool, check eBay auction number 130229405040.
The steering stem was changed a few times over the years. Other than that the rest of the frame is the same. I know for a fact you cant run the new showas without having a 96 or newer triple so thats why i want a 96 or newer frame cause most likley they changed the stem to.
I think I'll pass on that one ISBB, I dont want to spend extra for fresh black paint just to have it blasted off and powdercoated red or white lol. I think im gonna go with TJ's. Thanks though.
