1990 steelie Street Tarder from CT here...

Post by ctatv »

hey whats happenin. My name's Evan I use CTATV pretty much everywhere so if you recognize me from the bastard child of this website, supermotojunkie.com, jetboating.net, legacygt.com, nasioc.com atving.com or somewhere else its probably the same me...

I few years back I restored a 1989 Suzuki Quadzilla LT500 (powervalved 500cc 2 stroke ATV. few years later I sold that and my arctic cat 440 sled to purchase a jetboat. I missed the rush of a big bore 2 stroke and was in the market for a street bike so i put the two together and CR500 became my ride. Bought it off ebay from somebody in ohio and been lovin riding ever since...

Came with a motorcycle title and a lighting coil as well as 17s already but I rewired for DC power and changed a few things around. GUTS soft foam seat was one of the best additions for sure...

here are a few pics

yeah i pretty much stopped going to that site after a little while they wouldnt even answer my questions when they were legitimate questions cause they werent good enough questions for them.... Like what makes the 1990 and 1991 swingarm chain sliders different. got no response. I figured it out on my own but its like a bunch of bloated dead corpses over there

haha dont need it. it stops on a dime and does stoppies all day long as is. I also have ful stock dirt rim/tire set with its own brake disks and sprockets, full hubs, so its a quick change-out to ride it in the dirt. Going bigger rotor would make more work when I want to take it in the woods with knobbies. It looks cool but i havent had any brake fade so i cant see why i need to upgrade since im not peaking the performance of stock setup...

its funny no, ive had them follow me, parked at the library (shares parking lot with police station. Guy was out getting into his cruiser didnt give me a second look. I have the stock silencer right now which isnt that loud. I do want to get an aftermarket one cause i want to really hear it roar since im not doing anything illegal like riding on private property or anything.... Supprised nobody bothered me about the plate on the airbox but its relatively rural around me they bother kids for riding dirtbikes on the road (used to be me) so the fact theres a plate and lights on it is enough for most of them... its all registered and insured legitimately so i dont have anything to worry about its real nice... even went and got my motorcycle license so im all legal...well the wheelies arent but the bike and I are

Good on ya Brother!!!

I've shut the back half of the equation up pretty well (FMF Q) but the explosions hitting the front of the pipe are wicked loud.

People call me a pussy but I don't like making more noise than I have to when cruising the streets.....all about stealth in my book.
