going rate for '05-'07 cr250

whats a good cr250 engine go for on ebay? whats a good condition '05- '07 cr250 going for? is this bike a good candidate (financialy) for a conversion? its definatly one of the cleaner cr250 ive seen in a while....most seem to be owned by punk kids that tear them up real fast

02 through 07 cr250's are all gen 3's, so you can buy any of them and have the same chassis. Not sure on values, but 03's can be had for 1300.

you meen '03 with blown up engine for $1300? only '03 with good engine i seen for $1300 was xr80. if all cr250 '02 - '07 was gen3...then whats a gen 4? im deciding wether to buy running bike and ebay the motor, or buy bike with blown motor.....only problem is, i want a cr250 chassis and those motors dont seem to blow up like the 4strokes

Gen 4 is a 450 or a 250F, not sure what years on the gen 4's.

gen 4 is 05+crf450 and 04+crf250 02-04 crf450 is a gen 3

thnx man. but again no photo. if you really have a nice machine and wanted to sell it, wouldnt you put a photo? i dont know what the hell is wrong with those dumb fawkers in phoenix. im 1000 miles in the boonies, im at the mercy of a photo...i cant drive to phoenix from my house every week to look at some chumps bike because he doesnt have $7 for a disposable camera from walgreens

you have to remember that in general people are stupid an lazy! I bought my gen-1 from an idiot who posted up a blurry cam phone pic of him doing a wheelie in his driveway and almost eating it. I put $900 in his hand and ended up with a sweet bike for $200 after I sold the motor.
Never assume that just because it is selling for way too cheep and there is not pic that the bike isn't worth it. The guy sounds desperate and lazy, wave $1200 under his nose and for that price, if it needs a little TLC...who cares, you're gonna polish every part of the thing anyway.
The gen-4s I am building were $1900 for BOTH and one was running. The $900 they blew the motor and wanted it gone and the other one the guy just really needed some money for tires for his truck.
I say talk to the guy, and maybe try to have an AZ hoon take a look at it for you
