Smoke has very little to do with the oil, but hey you should know that already.

Tou can't run real lean on the street or you will seize bad, I have always been told castor is the best high temp lube but I always found it was dirty but I love the smell. I want something that does not make your clothing stink.

Which oil do you run,i have a account that will work a trade in Klotz so i can stock up for a long time.

I just got back from the bike shop and asked them for some blendzall, the guy pretty much laughed at me and said they havent stocked that in years. I left with another $29 worth of 927.

Iwas reading about thr R50 on a couple of threads and people were saying it rusts the motor out.

I have run 927 and liked it but the smell will make you smell like oil if you are bar hopping but I guess once I get my prey drunk they could care less. :D

its real easy to get water in the motor, i highly doubt ithe rust has anything to do with the r50 oil. my first bike had signs of rust on the crank...my conclusion was the prevuious owner washed the bike and probly started it for brief moment and water went through the filterl, then parked the bike in the garage and never started it again

Another oil to add to the list
Techniplate snowmobile oil. It is a TCW III oil. run it in everything of mine that is two stroke. Never had any issues. Less smoke than mineral oils. but is is a non castor based oil. I have run R50 and like it as well.
I think the R50 is the way to go for bikes
