IMO the welds look like horse poop, but it is welded good. The welder started filling in the lower area before I caught what he was doing. I really just wanted a clean weld on top and on bottom of the sleeved area. For anyone out there doing a build, make sure you clean all your parts and frame very good to get the best result before you take it to a welder. I have some minor grinding to do and I'm gonna have to get a longer return hose for the rad mod. Right now the hose touches the PC pipe. Instead of cutting on the outlet that connects the two rads, I gently bent the tubes in towards the main down tube (pics to come of that). Once I get all the tid bits fitting like I want I will paint strip the cases and start the complete engine rebuild.
I can't tell what you did with the Y. It looks as if it wasn't raised at all and you cut the cradle and put dowels in??? How did you install the 3/4" tubing without moving anything?

I cut the Y at the top of it and at both bottoms of it. A little of the main down tube (about 1/4") was still in the Y. I knocked it out with a punch so it would freely slide onto the bottom of the main down tube. That raised it to a good height to clear the exhaust flange. The dowels slid up from the bottoms tubes. They were accesible from the two front motor mount cut outs.
I took the Arrogant Bastard (bikes name) on a good ride Sunday. I met my friend at his house in Awanhee and we rode from there up the street to Miami trails. We did a good 2 hour non-stop ride. The terrain was singletrack through the woods with alot of rocks and wash out. The bike felt and ran great!! I'm ready for a good Desert ride!! I definetly like it better than the 01 I built. I got a little chain slap on my tire Did I here someone on here say you had to put the front sprocket on inside out? My chain may be worn out also. I'll post some more pics as soon as I get them down loaded.
Another good looker, corngrats! You know you can buy a service honda pipe and silencer that bolts right on because it's already modded for the bike, that's what I have.
