Bike setup

Post by Ported&Polished »

I had a issue with my idle and tinkered with the carb and discovered the throttle cable was bent and sticky. I never noticed it until my buddy said his thottle is much smoother and snaps back quicker. So a brother Hoon hooked me up with a 99 throttle assembly. I lubed it and installed it, and what a difference it made. My throttle responce is spot on now and the snap is definetly stronger and smoother. I was amazed how something like that assembly could make such a big difference in how the bike rides, and reacts to input. At the Az ride a pro rider gave tips on setup which included lever placement, peg position, handle bar position, shifter placement and tightness of controls. All these little details are often overlooked, and can make a good bike into a really good bike.
Don't Clyde it, ride it!
