Robbie Maddison breaks world record at Crusty Demons Night of World Records

Robbie Maddison has beaten his own jumping Guiness World Record at the Crusty Demons Night of World Records in Australia.

Maddison leaped his CR500 an astonishing 351 feet, adding 29 feet to his previous world record at the event at Calder Park, Melbourne. Rival stunt rider Ryan Capes held the record for a short period after jumping 324 feet (beating the old record of 322 feet), but Maddison pulled out the stops to claim the record.

Maddison told MCN: “I can’t explain how amazing it is to smash my own world record in front of a home crowd. I have been doing huge jumps and breaking personal records in training this week so I knew that I had it tonight, but nothing could of prepared me for how great this feels.”

Ryan Capes and Seth Enslow congratulated him following the massive jump. Ryan Capes told the media: “I am looking forward to a rematch in the USA in the next twelve months, but it was Robbie’s night tonight.”

Seth Enslow fell short of his rivals, but his 301-foot jump was a new personal best for the American. He said: “I am stoked.l I may not have claimed the World Record but I am really happy with my result, that is the best I have jumped.”

Robbie added: “It was always going to be exciting with the jump off situation, Seth is a mate and a legend of the sport and Ryan is renowned as a long distance jumping specialist. The Aussie crowd got me over the line.”

HAHA, I just read that at RacerX and came here to post it. Crazy. Maddison says he think he can get 400 ft.

Bitchin'. Maddison seems like a cool dude, I've heard a couple interviews with him on Faction (Sirius channel 28). I think he was bummed about New Years, he'd gone 350+ in practice prior to that event.
