Sorry for all the newb questions guys. I was looking at the microfiche for my 86 500 motor, and it looks like there are only as 2 dowels on the left side of the engine. Can anyone confirm that there is indeed only 2 , cause it looks like it should be 4 dowels, one for each stud. Hopefully my shop manual shows up soon.

I couldnt get the jug on with one in place so I tried to remove it...... It ended up mangled

ya, hell, I think the only reason I got it started is because I kicked it like I kick my bike and probably got 5 revolutions out of it!

My friend and I rebuilt his wifes blaster one night after about 10 beers a piece. The next morning we found her dowels lying in the driveway and said oh well, fuck it. Well I don't know if it was becasue she never shifted or the dowels missing but it only lasted a few hours before it was fried again. I tried to tell him we should just wait and take it apart to do it right, but........
