hey there i just thought id say hello my name is Joe and i picked up a 1986 CR500 a few weeks ago and ive already done some work to it shes ready to ride but the weather is not cooperating here

cant wait to try it out at my local track the only issue im having is getting that header sealed up i tried using the rtv stuff but i think i have to put it from the inside of the flange insted of around it what do you think? enjoy the pic

Some say the '86 models was one of the best.

Make sure you get some boots on those forks too....

Daystar 13" fork boots. Two color blues - make sure you get the brighter blue that matches your seat.

i actually managed to get oem fork boots and i did figure out how to seal up the exhaust i used black rtv on the inside of the flange now shes ready to go just waiting for a nice day to go ride heres an updated pic of the bike

Not sure how tall you are, but those "lowboy" bars might make the bike a handful.

Took Britincali 3 years to get some taller bars, now he thinks he invented the things..
