gas mileage?

So heres something i havent seen discussed....
how many miles do you get on your 500? under normal hard riding not moto-x. assuming its on pump 98 oct. or 110 race fuel.

Put three gallons in for Jawbone, get back with a gal. and went 51 miles. Or 25 MPG.

Most moto tracks its 20 laps per gallon.

I have never calculated my fuel use on my 500 I usually just stay close to the truck and keep a close eye on my tank. I have a permanant marker line about half way down my tank at 1 1/2 gallons and thats the point of no return mark. I am going to steal the trail computer off my xr600 and then ill see what kind of mileage its getting.

My 98 gets around 28 mpg in the singletrack, my 01 does about 24-25.

At adelanto I did 2 laps and ended up with about 1" of gas above the strainer. I figure prolly 30 miles of hard riding to empty on my AF.

In the dunes my GSS bike flat drinks gas.

with my 3.5 gal tank, i usually go about 80 miles in an enduro without a gas stop. much more than that, and i get a spash depending how much further.
