well put here all back together. piston to cylinder is .004 and ring gap is about .001. drilled the holes and recessed the exhaust bridge. i flushed out the bottom end with premix a couple of times.i did however add a little premix oil in there. about half a cup. thats about what was in there. dont know if i should have but on oil on thoses parts just seems wrong while it sits on the bench. used a little bit of premix oil putting everything back together. i think she is ready for the frame.

well i am a helicopter sheetmetal mechanice and hopefully i get this job with boeing building the new 787 dreamliner. they are building the wings in japan. and the wings are the fuelcell so they need structrual mechanics that are less than 6 feet tall 32 inch waist and have over ten years experience. i would be awesome to get the job but i will be gone for a bit with my bike in pieces in the garage. it's a tug of war but hell these jobs dont come around everyday. i guess thats why i ask so many questions about the motor cause having somethng fail is not really an option in my line of work. haha

Man that sounds offely high.

You'd think I'd know the answer to this working for Boeing, but are the wings Composite? I know fuselage is. The 787 is like 6-8 months behind on delivery, but thats not usual for the start of a new program.

Years ago they had my 6'3" frame stuffed into the center fuel tank of DC-10's. They tried to do that with the C-17, Glad they thought I couldn't pass the ring test. I still could but I didn't say a word.

i dont think so. i havent started with them. as far as the pay that is with per diem and overtime. 10hr days 6 days a week. housing paid for at the hilton. i cant pass it up. ill find out in a few weeks if i am good to go. im stoked and sad at the same time. making mad money but no bike to ride and my 5hundy that is disassembled in the garage. i havent even started it. my parts are in about 4 area codes. lol on the other hand building the 787 would be kick ass on my resume.

We have a guy in our Japan office (Tokio) that rides a street legal xr400 and rides from his house to some forest land in the mountains. You may not be able to ride your cr500 but you can make something work.

Last I heard you cant touch a 500, they were never offered to the public; race only machines owned by the OEM's. Now a Gamma 400 is pretty close. As long as its a multi cyl. 2 smoker im happy. Thats a sound few in the US have heard, and its music to my ears!! The big liter bike guys couldnt touch you on a tight course...

Its an Oval shaped ring with clip nuts around it that goes inside the fuel tank. If you can shimmy your skinny ass though it your tank cerified.

Alo ha , I heard at lunch tonight that some manager from here is going over there for 9 months.
