I think I am in love...
So I've got my friends R1 for the weekend! I was taking it mellow until I left his neighborhood, then I hammered through all the gears on boulder highway, then tuned onto warm springs a little too hot, then picked up the wheel in 5th passing a semi truck... I got to del taco in about a minute. I am in love!
holy crap this thing is fun!
My buddy is an asshole because I thought I was happy with just a dirt bike, but now I MUST HAVE A SPORT BIKE!!! HOLY CRAP! OMG OMG, that thing was so much freaken fun, I took some hard corners after I got the tires warmed up and I haven't been able to wipe the grin from my face since!

so I take it this happened to you??
Yeah, theres a reason I don't own one... I have a bad habbit of lacking self control. I drive my f-150 105mph on a regular day-to-day basis (105 is the governor), so having something capable of doing 180mph is not a good idea for me!
still a friggen blast!!!
when my buddy is done with ol' smokey (mt old diesel pick-up) I will have to give it back :-( probably for the best anyway!

Yep luckily I wasn't going as fast as I usually do so I didn't hit her.dannygraves wrote:so I take it this happened to you??![]()

I agree they are a total blast and around here way to easy to use the speed. That's why I got rid of the bike I had.

I rode freeways and streets for years in socal and have ALOT of stories of close calls, get offs, slide outs, hit by cars etc. That isn't to say it wasn't fun, but it will catch up to you someday. Oh, and I had a string of issues with cops. Yes you get away alot, but the times they do pull you, you end up having issues with license suspended, revoked, expensive court costs and impound fees. You could always get a Honda trail 70 or a Harley though and avoid trouble.
Don't Clyde it, ride it!
