Clyde, your an ass. You were rough on Ted and now you want to start on me. Go find someone else or somewhere else to flaunt your "knowledge". Ted is one of the nicest guys you could ever want to meet. If this was a simple problem he would have the issue resolved himself. I want to ship my motor to someone credible and have it overhauled. If you don't like or argree, who cares, keep it to yourself. Now you have me as the new guy on my first day on this site already into an argument.

clyde wrote:ill refrain from saying how i really feel about you and your buddy. with that said, im far from being a know it all with mass amounts of knowledge. if fact i still call AP, Pstofferes and a few other guys with technical questions that i dont understand about my bike. YOU and TED have no fricken desire to learn about YOUR own machine. how sad is that. pick up a freaking manual and read the gosh darn thing so you will UNDERSTAND how YOUR own bike works. you going to hire a agent to ride with you so when your plug fouls out he can tell you how to put a new spark plug in it????? sorry man but i have no respect for someone that doesnt want to learn- and its clear you have no desire to learn anything about your own bike

you want someone to rebuilt it for YOU, then you will want someone to come to your home and tune it for you, so you will be able to ride of into the sunset on a perfect running machine that you know nothing about- everybody on this site is here to help new guys to the cr500 world, its FREE knowledge here man, what you think we been trying to help ted for the last 5 fricken pages- but if you want to pay somebody, GO FOR IT!.

he did the total opposite of what i suggested. he has some needle that wasnt even supposed to be in the carb, i told him put the carb at the factory settings. atleast that should get it close enough to fire up and evaluate what problems exist. instead he comes back with some fuggin mikuni carb....idiot. then he says he has alot of smoke- me and several others say his seal or center gasket is leaking. so he supposedly replaces the seal but it still smokes. probly bad center gasket and good chance he didnt put the seal in correct. after 5 pages of people telling him the problem hes still stumped- unbelievable. i guess he sold the bike to his freind :? - now his freind is over there asking 50 million questions :rotfl: :rotfl:

Good Lord, that was 20 minutes of my life I will never get back. Too bad it's a locked thread now, I wanted to suggest that the idiots in that post go and slit their own throats so as not to possibly procreate and extend the family tree they fell out of.

IMO the only people posting there are

1. Tracy ass kissers
2. Newbies who don't listen when they do get good advice
3. The mods (some fall under #1)
4. People that don't know about this site

I go there to search the classifieds and I regularly check the pay it forward section for free stuff I can use. :D I also check to see if anyone has responded to the "site ride" post, which btw is holding strong at 4 responces.

I post up at both still. Here's another example of why I like it better here though:

Posted Jan 22:
so i just bought an 86 500 and the guy had just had a new crank , bearings , seals , and rod installed and when he took it home he broke the water pump cover hole , and decided to sell .
so my problem is what other years 500s had the same clutch cover and did the 250s have the same clutch cover . also i need a inner clutch hub , same question as the clutch cover . any help would be greatly appreciated thanks
