When I was in Indiana in 2005 having dinner after the hillclimb a Grandma asked me if I rode in the hillclimb. I said yes and introduced myself to her and she said that her Grandson was a hillclimber too. She wanted me to sign a napkin for him and I told her that I had something in the car that might be a little better and I would be right back. I gave her my Team Peterson shirt and signed it for her to take home to her Grandson (Joe). The next year I got to actually meet Joe and he was competing in the 85cc class on Saturday before the East / West Shootout. I was very impressed with how he rode, but more by the way he approached everything and how humble he was. I offered to help him out with a sponsorship for 2007 with some riding gear through Troy Lee Designs and Team Peterson. Well, he delivered three State Championships and the kid gets AWESOME grades too! Great job "Jammin" Joe! Good kid, great family and he will be going along way in life in what ever he decides to do.
