My old faithful rear projection bit the dust a few days ago so I did some research and here's what I bought. 47" Vizio LCD (made in AMERICA), stand, 3 year in home service and some hdmi cables. Cost me $1,800
How many HDMI cables did you need? Is one to the back of the tv, and another from the reciever box to the sterio reciever? Any other cables needed to connect to the back of the tv?

All the new plasma and lcd tv's only have one or two a/v inputs so I bought 2 and used them for both the dvr and dvd player. Pricey though, 25 bucks each.
One thing about HDMI cables is don't get sucked into buying the expensive ones. It's a digital signal it either works or it don't. You can also get a HDMI switcher box if you have more HDMI devices than you have inputs.
