Rim Swapp-ability

Post by Nodge »

I need a second (and third) set of wheels for my Gen 1 250.

What bolts up?
I can tell you from personal experience that you can bolt up a 1986 rear wheel with drum brakes to a gen 1 if you use the gen 1 spacers and take off the caliper.

Im guessing almost any rear CR wheel will work with the right spacers in.

What about fronts?
Im thinking 95ish to 01ish should be all the same?

Any body know for sure?
Yah, I'm from Saskatchetoon!

89-01 cr5 wheels will work but you will need to change the rotor the cr250 has a biger rotor. I think I use the cr500 wheel spacers in the gen 1.

I know the front 97 up cr500 are the same not sure how far back . and I think they interchange with the gen 1 ill look this weekend
