Saturday her heart freaked out twice and they had to zap her both times, her bleeding is under control, her brain function is normal.....( there was some question about this because during the surgery of this type they freeze your brain down to 60 degrees )....shes still on the respirator and so far she has been stable for the past 24 hours...no better, no worse......its been over 48 hrs. since the surgery. Its hard to look at her in the condition shes in. I can not even imagine someone of this age going through this.
We looked up some info on this type of heart problem, and found out that once it occurs most people die within 24 hours, and ALL will die within 5 days. Only 50 percent survive the surgery and only 10 percent survive after that.
So...its good that it was diagnosed right away, but now I can only hope she is one of the lucky ones to survive. She's got a lot of people praying for her.
