Service Honda wiring: Help needed please

Post by other »

I am finally getting around to fitting the Service Honda ignition stator and wiring that I bought off a hoon on here, and I am in need of some guidance / clarification please.
I was hoping that someone out there with a genuine Service Honda with lights etc could take a close look at their bike and point me in the right direction on a couple of things.

Image

In this first pic: A) There is a red connector block at the top of the pic, and I can't figure what it's supposed to connect to. (2 of it's 3 pins are associated with the engine kill switch on the handlebar switch block, no clues on the third pin !) B) There is a yellow wire with a red spot that runs along the harness (seen top right and bottom right of the pic) with bullet connectors. Any ideas what it's supposed to be for ? And finally, C) There is a black connector block (bottom left of pic) with a red/yellow trace wire, and a black wire into it. Any ideas what this one is for as well ?

In this pic, coming off the CDI (orange box), there is a black/white trace wire, and a green wire lead. This is normally the kill button connection, and I assume it is here too ? Now, that leaves the black/yellow trace wire, and green wire lead. This is the normal colour coding for the ignition coil wires, and again, I assume it is here too ? My question is, why are there 2 black/yellow trace wires in this lead ?Only one is needed for the ignition coil, so which one do I use, and what do I do with the other ?

In this third pic, there is a mystery pink wire and green wire. I am guessing they are a tail light feed, can anyone confirm this ?

Thanx in advance for any input.

have you tried the other site other? the not banned site actually has AJ from SH as a member, the few times I have called them I got good customer service, if no one here has the answer I'm sure AJ can help, I see that calling is not really an option.
Gen 2 AF, yes it's a SH, so I can call it an AF Damm it!

Electrosport made the kits for Service Honda. Contacting them would give you any answers you need.

Thanks Bob, I have that wiring diagram, and that's what I set the harness up by. The queries I raised are where the actual harness varies from that diagram (ie, the 2 coil leads rather than 1, and the mysterious red/yellow and black connector, and the red terminal block that is apparently partially connected into the kill switch on the bar switch block )
