the 450 will have less power and will be harder to start, and will be heavier, but to make up for it it will require more maintenance.

dirt would stick to a blasted finish really bad.

raw aluminum doesnt react well to dirt. it dulls up fast in a dirty environment, the sand doesnt really stick to the bike like mud/dirt does.

expect the clear to dull the polished look a little, but it shouldnt be too bad.

after all that work, I definitely wouldnt spray it black....

a bit off track but
por 15 has a clear that is stable to uv and doesnt fade a polished surface it is self leveling so you can brush it on and it looks like it has been spray painted also when you blast/polish alloy it takes the protective layer off and thats why it fades and stains that is also why alloy welding is tricky the oxide layer melts @ 2200 c but alloy melts at 600 c crazy huh.... :o
I don't suffer from insanity. I enjoy every minute of it. :devious:

Make it idiot proof and someone will make a better idiot.

Different strokes for different folks...Looks cool.

I have a Harley that people always ask if I ever ride and think I spend all my time waxing.....it has 90 plus thousand miles and rarely gets washed, just little wipe downs every now and then. My dirtbike could never look that clean because it lives its life bouncing off of rocks.

I have some pretty clean street bikes, I have all thrashed dirtbikes, if you can keep your dirtbike clean more power to you. The polished parts look sweet.

I dig the look. But on a bike that isnt a Supermoto, or strictly used in the dunes, polished takes too much work. Heck, keeping the thing nice takes a lot of work. I'll keep the frame spars polished on my bikes, thats about it. the rest is a LOT of work.

While not my cup of tea, i'd sooner be drinking beer. I can however appreciate the attention to detail. I hope the build is the same especially a 125 chassis and look forward to seeing the end product. Keep up the good work.
13 isnt unlucky i just keep falling off
