For your size, do not buy a Leatt. I had one and it fit like shit. I hear the new Atlas is good for bigger guys but I have not tried one yet.

i have the EVS one, im sure it does something, but the "alternate load path" is made out of compressible foam i dont think it would be the most protective one for compressing the spine, landing on your head
the 450 will have less power and will be harder to start, and will be heavier, but to make up for it it will require more maintenance.

I had a new EVS, couldn't get rid of it fast enough. I can't imagine being too big for a leatt.

I've got the carbon fibre Leatt, and it's great, just needed to adjust the rear helmet catch lower as I couldnt "sight" downhills. Other than that it's almost unnoticeable when riding.
