Keihin Carb Sizes / Main Body Numbers

Post by BrianPaul69 »

I'm looking for a 38 - 39.5mm PWK for my CR500 and can't seem to find a resource anywhere that translates the main body numbers into the carb size. Here is an example of what I mean :

KEIHIN PWK "V398BI11"

Any info would be a big help.

personaly id buy new, trying to jet worn out junk never ends well
the 450 will have less power and will be harder to start, and will be heavier, but to make up for it it will require more maintenance.

I agree with you on that. Most of what I'm looking at is coming off newer bikes (mid to late 90's) that people swapped out the carbs on but I have no idea what a 98 KX250 or a 2001 KTM 300XC came with.
