its funny how Honda needed 2 different piston designs thru the entire lifespan of the cr500 and wiseco needs all these.


Most of the changes are due to R&D, feedback from race teams and some engineer thinking he has a new idea to make the piston lighter, stronger and better performing in some way. The last variation with the coating is a good idea and also has a ring design change. I would be curious to know what actual performance differences / gains if any there are from the first Wiseco through to the last.100hp honda wrote:hard to say why the shuffling. figure they should of had it sorted out 10+ years ago.
