Lighting Options for 97

Post by B440 »

I need a lighting coil for my bike to pass inspection for road use and I don't like the 35W lighting coil that Procycle offers. The eline is ideal but I'm not forking over $350+ for the rare ones that show up on ebay.

From my last bike, a DRZ400, I know that a 35W headlight doesn't cut the mustard. I was outriding it at 35mph on the street. I already have a 55W Ray Halogen headlight mounted, an LED taillight that draws 2.5W max and I'm getting a trail tech vapor that draws 0.5W max. So, do I have any options for something in the 60W or higher range?

And I'll also be using DC power with a Shorai batttery.

250 ign then you can get 50 watt, or theres a 70 watt at idle for the 250, but probably $$
the 450 will have less power and will be harder to start, and will be heavier, but to make up for it it will require more maintenance.

I think I'll try the CR250 setup. I see a 60W coil that may work for me.

keep in mind that 60 watts dosent happen till you are revving pretty high

Ok I got a 95 CR250 setup. What is this 70W at idle you speak of? The 60 watter is $140 USD.

also got my own idea at the end, never tried it with a light, it might not work without a battery.... but it works sweet for a fan
