I just picked up a sick 1990 cr500r off a guy who was a member off this site. not sure his name. but its a 1990 cr500 bone stock besides the first over size vertex piston and a complete rebuild by him. I have a couple questions on jetting. Its a stock exhaust, one over size bore bike and i think he jetted it too rich. It rips at full throttle but when at 1/4 it seams sluggish or boggy. whats a good reasonble staring point for jetting. I am use to a cr480 so this cr500 is a play in the park. Soooo easy to ride and i love it. just needs a little love in the low end department. What clip on the needle and what pilot to start with. it idles fine but when trying to ride at 1/4 throlttle is seams boggy not like a 500 should ride like for the low end im use to. Well thats it in an egg shell. I want to rip it this weekend for the first time in the woods. This bike is sick.
