DMV

Post by hagendog »

So just got home from getting tags for the bike, 03 frame with an 88 motor. RED STICKER, they can lick my nuts. They sent me to CHP to try and get the vin changed and the officer said there was no need cause they all cheked out and the mods weren't enough to call custom so back to DMV and $134 later, it's RED. I had a bill of sale for the frame and the title for the motor, maybe I gave them too much info. Next time I will buy a 02 frame to avoid all of this which brings me to my next point. I want a green sticker so if anyone lives out of CA and has a stock 02 250 frame and is wanting one already converted pm me and we might be able to work something out. I can send some pics and blahh blahh blahh. SO PISSED OFF RIGHT NOW, only good thing is red is ok to ride, for now

With a green sticker is for 2002 and older bikes and you can ride year round. Red sticker is 2003 and newer bikes (unless it's an X model then it's a green sticker if I remember right) is restricted to pretty much being able to ride between October and April.

Here's a red sticker list.....

Try not to worry about it. Some places have had the Red sticker dates revised to all year round. Pismo beening one of them.   I couldn't F'in believe that, but its true. I saw the document that changed it. Click on Hellbears link then click the 2007 CARB Revised Riding Seasons link.

That just plain wrong, the state tells you when you can and cannot ride your bike. What next a permit to ride based on a hourly rate?
