Square expansion chambers

Post by Pony »

Slim, a fabricator out of Cali builds a bunch aof way rad stuff. He built this drag bike out a DT400 and I absolutlely love the exhaust on this thing. From what I have researched about how an expansion chamber works I cant really see this out performing a round expansion chamber, but it looks so insanly awesome who gives a shit. I have read that it runs triple digits and I wouldnt wanna go much faster on such a death trap. Have ya'll ever seen any other square expansion chambers?

Dont know if you guys are into this kind of stuff but I love low tech and raw radical machines like this. Thats one reason why 2 stroke appeal to me so much, not many parts and lots of rpms and horsepower. Im a big fan of this dudes stuff slimsfab.blogspot.com

Dave Pikarsky has a patent on square tube headers and exhaust. Came from the stock car world. big power gains, nascar outlawed them a while ago, not sure whats going on there recently.

Wow thats cool stuff! I wonder if the soundwaves necessary for a 2 stroke to perform would reverberate very good in setup using square tubing. I wouldnt think a square header would make very much difference either but I guess it does!
