2005 Service Honda CR500AF/125 Frame

Post by Lumpyboy »

Hard decision, but the time has come to fund other projects. Service Honda CR500AF in a gen 3 CR125 frame. Motor is a 2001. Bike was assembled in 2007. Put in a new top end last year and the motor has 6.7 hours on it since that time. Bike is in immaculate condition and was trail ridden (no MX). I cannot crate the bike for shipping, but for those who need shipping you could use uShip.com or other door to door shipping service. $6000. Bill of sale only.

-- Cylinder head has a decomp poppit valve that was put on by Roostius Maximus of that other CR500 forum
-- used only Klotz TC-W3 oil at 40:1
-- used only Motorex gear oil
-- One Industries David Bailey white graphics kit/red seat
-- Gearing is 13/50 with Ironman rear sprocket in excellent condition
-- 520VM O-ring chain in excellent condition
-- FMF Q silencer
-- Pro Taper Contour bars
-- Scotts damper sub mount (damper not included)
-- Service Honda digital ignition
-- Keihen 39mm PWK carb (jetting specs below)
-- Service Honda black 21”/18” rims
-- New rubber: rear is a Pirelli MT16 120/100-18; front is a Dunlop D739
-- Skid plate
-- Devol radiator guards
-- Stock CR125 and clear IMS 3.2 gallon fuel tanks
-- Wave rotors
-- BRP top triple clamp
-- Cycra Pro Bend bark busters
-- TM Designworks chain guide
-- Carbon Fiber frame protectors
-- ASV brake and clutch levers
-- SH billet clutch cover
-- SH billet ignition cover
-- In-line fuel filter
-- Tugger rear lift strap
-- Factory manuals (125 and 500)

Jetting is 172 (summer)/178 (winter), 50 pilot (45-55 is typical for the PWK), DGN needle, 3rd clip, a/s 1 1/2 out.

PM me if interested.

nice bike, all the good deals popup after i buy mine...
the 450 will have less power and will be harder to start, and will be heavier, but to make up for it it will require more maintenance.

Isn' that how it always works? Meanwhile, I was reading how folks are complaining that there are no 500AFs for sale on the east coast. Now watch, I'll get no bites. Btw, thanks for correcting me re: Roostius.

Indeed, it is a sweet deal. Garage queen. Priced so that when you add shipping it's still a fair deal. Here's what I PM'd Fastfrank regarding shipping:

People have shipped me bikes within U.S. using Yellow Trucking, Forward Air and Con-Way. You just need to call around and find a shipper. But I can't crate the bike so you really need to find a motorcycle shipper who will pick the bike up in a car/MC trailer. You could also use Uship.com, which I used once and it was great. There are a ton of people on Uship who provide MC shipping using their own pick up trucks or trailers. They just give you a quote and then arrange a time for pick up and delivery.

ship it to the usa port closest.
it needs to have 3 days to clear usa export side
import side needs sales sheets and you'll pay and riv fee.

DONT ship it into the country ups or fedex or you'll be raped
