still got bubbles
A while back i noticed my coolant had some bubbles and used a bit of coolant after a ride , no problem i thought as i replaced the oil / water seal at the water pump and head gasket while doing some maintenance. Next time out riding i noticed it was still happening. Pulled the head again, both the cylinder and head appear level. (checked with straight edge) What have i missed

yeah i understand the cavitation thing but i'm coming back home and the coolant level has dropped to around the top of the radiator core fins. maybe time to put a overflow bottle on it to be sure where its going

Without an overflow all CR5's will puke coolant untill it settles out a few mm's over the rad core, filling the rads is pointless as it'll just spit it out untill it barely covers the core.
With an overflow the rad will stay full to the cap.

It is normal for it to be right at the top of the core. I say your good to go.Gravel Scratcher wrote:yeah i understand the cavitation thing but i'm coming back home and the coolant level has dropped to around the top of the radiator core fins. maybe time to put a overflow bottle on it to be sure where its going
