Post by AdmirableSoup »

Just picked up a 93 cr500... Cant wait to get her out to glamis!! She has already scared me on my test rides... Hahaha... And to make things worst this will be my first two stroke. I can tell they are whole new ball game. This bike is wicked fast! Can't wait to use all of the crazy knowledge here because i know i will be rebuilding her eventually. Thanks you for letting me be apart of this online community and i look forward to the experiences that await!

1. Pull the reed block to have a look at the piston.
2. Re-read #1, AND DO IT!!
3. Get some good gear, these bikes will hurt you.
4. Start squirting the swing arm bolt with PB Blaster now, so later it will come out when you try to grease the swingarm bearing
5. Show us a photo of your hot wife, girlfriend, or chick down the street.
6. Dont send your stuff to GSS
7. Run Maxima '927
8. Use UNI filters
9. Goof on Brit every chance you get
10. This site HATES whiners and liars. Just a heads up....

RIDE IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT!!!!!

The CR500 is an acquired taste. If you don't like it, acquire some taste...

Thanks for the replies guys! Fortunately i am a single man. (Women are crazy! :x )

AlisoBob, I did pull the reed block and lo and behold my piston had about four small cracks on the edge of the skirt.... Guess it would be bad to ride on it huh?
