Exaust sealer?

Post by robfromga »

Got a new pipe from FMF today, it was supposed to have 2 orings to seal it at the flange...It had only one in the baggie...well Im a impatient fella and am looking for something to just get it done...beside those orings usually dont last me that long. The metal sealing ring fell out in 3 pieces too :? I was thining of trying some woodstove door sealing rope stuff and slabbing on some high temp RTV.

Ideas?

I just use the stock stuff and replace the metal band periodically as maintenance. I seal it with permatex ultra copper.
