got a guy with cnc machines. not for sure he will commit to doing it but ill run the idea by him. i dont need any but figured it might help some you other guys out. need a head count then ill pass the info along and see what he says.
i just want to get the ball rolling forward first then we can worry about designs later. i have blank ones on my bike because i dont care much for logos but i dont know what will make you guys happy. and i really dont know how much labor(if any at all) is involved with doing one-off logos for each individual person. blank ones may cut down on cost but im no machinist so i can only speculate. is 6061 fine ?
I still have afew new ones ive never put on a bike yet from the Shan man, I also have a set of the org honda racing ones they just copied.
I have enought CR stuff but I still like to look at what going around.
have fun

you guys cool if we base the design off the honda covers ? or the boyesen covers ? i dont recall if boyeson uses the rubber gasket like honda so keep that in mind. what im getting at is we need 2 covers to use as samples so the dude can check them out. might be able to use my billets but honestly dont feel like pulling them off but i could.
Personally I'd prefer the Honda copy as then you can get the stock flat oring for the ignition cover easily. That and I hate the paper gasket on the boyeson cover! As for the clutch again it would be nice to be able to use a stock oring for convenience and well it works great.

great idea thats my vote stock honda gaskets last for years
anyone gots some old honda ones sitting around to use for samples ? just need them to be used for the drawings then they will be returned. my honda is in storage across town for nearly a year, i have no idea what kind of clearance is between the cover and rear brake. how was you guys thinking to increase capacity ?
Has anyone tried to hit up Shanman? Since he's already gone through this process, may he could just give you his CAD file or the NC data his guy made them from.
