FS 2002 CRF450 with bad valves

Post by Niner »

Up for sale is a 2002 Crf450 with bad valves. My mechanic friend says it will be almost a grand to fix so I am selling it as is, minus the carburetor for $900. Comes with all the spares in the picture, but no carburetor. (I am keeping to swap on my DRZ)

Bike is located in a suburb or Detroit.
$900

because you live in canada
theres hardly any good deals here
the 450 will have less power and will be harder to start, and will be heavier, but to make up for it it will require more maintenance.

I have a bent rotor and a cracked front rim for $200. Who says Canada has no deals?

Bump for a sweet deal that's out of driving distance.

I have seen 3 of those in the last month.
One 450 and two 250's.
The intake valves start to "tulip", pull up into the head.
I predict there will be a LOT of these deals coming along.
A grand is on the mark if you're putting a new piston in also.

He is a riding buddy from the freestyle sportbike days and a Honda tech at a dealer so I trust him 100%. He used to rebuild fork seals for me for $20 a pop.
Detroit is right next to Canada so don't be afraid to make the drive if you are in the Ontario area. I can also deliver to the Buffalo area around Christmas.

$750? Daylight savings special? This would be perfect for a winter conversion.
