Pete said I should be around 200 exhaust 130 transfers

but he had some markings of 197 and 130 so maybe the exhaust turned out a little less than he thought.

I was shooting for 198exh - 128 transfers once I get some time and pull the motor and start mocking up maybe I will acheive those numbers.

As for the numbers out the box for the cylinder I would guess lower 190's but thats just guessing.

Calvin should be able to answer this for you.

how about 4 Ligers in a row, this is a snowmobile motor in a 3 wheeled dragster that uses the Liger cylinders

that is so cool. i dream of one day building a V8 out of 8 ligers, and running it in an old hot rod. imagine 4 expansion chamber snaking out of each side of the engine bay... and the noise it would make!

i bet it'd make more than 800. twin-cylinder cr500 engines i have seen make about 200, whereas one only makes around 60-65. you get more cylinders working together, the power increases exponentially. i bet 1000HP would be a low estimate, considering these cylinders are projected to perform like the sabertooth, at 100HP per single hole.......

god that would be a bad ass vehicle to ride around in.....but your fuel consumption would be figured in gallons per mile LOL

maybe. but when a twin cylinder banshee under 500cc can make 120+hp fairly easily, why is it unreasonable for a twin 1000cc to easily make over 200?

i remember a 4 cylinder banshee motor that had been built and dyno'd, at around 125HP per hole off the bottle.......so imagine a v-8 Liger motor  i think 1000HP would be a bare minumun when you get that many cylinders firing.....thats 8 power strokes per revolution.....its gonna pump out some mega ponies.

if the single cylinder makes a projected 100 ish, then 800 would be a bare minumim, but if done properly, adding more cylinders exponentially increases the power produced.

X2
thats why a tripple sled with lower port timing and way older technology will still pump out significantly more power than the new high strung EFI twins
XCR 800=162 horse bone stock pipe, reeds, carb and its in the 180s and still will go WFO for minutes on end all day... for a few years
twins can get 160... with a lot of work
the 450 will have less power and will be harder to start, and will be heavier, but to make up for it it will require more maintenance.

no question cr1000 would be a head turned. if i had all the spare parts laying around i would probly give it a try. starting from a empty garage though i would definatly build something else.

twin cr125 would kick ass
if you could fit the pipes of a rs 250 road racer on a bike thad be sweet
o and give it the same port time area as a 125

um just put a RS250 motor in it? or better yet, 2 RS250's joined together... basically, if you can dream it up, someone has already done it...

Kenny Roberts engine

Post by blownbillybob »

I seen the Kenny Roberts bike at Carnegie in the beginning of October at the races the engine sounded wicked people thought it was some snowmobile engine, the bike it self was bad ass to although it was set up to long and just fried the big tera flex tire to about 200 ft that may have been it's first run I'm not sure

Please explain to me how engines making 60hp each when combined suddenly make 200hp total.

arctic cat m1000 snowmobile
The proven 999cc power plant is a good motor and remains unchained for 2010. the 90.3 x 70 bore and stroke twin-cylinder two-stroke mill delivers 162 HP at 7,250 – 7,300 rpm, and a whopping 116-to 118-foot-pounds of torque.
so bump the port time up so it peaks around 8500 and youll have your 200 horse
i think a 500 peak torque is at 6700rpm ish
