I've got stripped threads in the engine cases.
I already have some old 6mm helicoils and the proper drill bit, tap, and installation tool. Just seems like that drill bit is pretty large compared to the hole in the case. Is there enough meat in there to install helicoils or is there another option?

i use inserts made by pioneer, OR, you can make one on the lathe, fluid weld it in the case.

One of the bolts that holds the clutch cover onto the right side case. It is on the lower left side just above the brake pedal. Its the same one that has a clamp under the bolt head for a vent hose.Roostius_Maximus wrote:which location?

EDIT: did a google seach on pioneer inserts, thread repair, etc and can't find anything on it. Can you assist with some additional info or a link?
Thanks
