Frame and rad mods were done by a great bike shop in Melbourne (wont say there name just incase they dont want to be mentioned).
Exhaust by a guy here in Perth and the rest put together by me and some help from friends.
Every nut and bolt has been replaced or replated , bearing, wheels, everything was not left untouched.

So whats it ride like??? Friggen 500...what you expect!!!!

Cheers...Hope you enjoy the pics

Frame used a billet Y-piece and the lower cradle was remade
with all new mounts etc..
Rads had to be chopped and new tanks made. They were
off a 06 CR250.
Subframe is a crappy aftermaket job that still has the original
mounts. The silencer inlet was reshaper to fit into the chamber
outlet as they didnt line up. Rear mount on the chamber moved up.
Airbox is off a 04 CR125 which is sort of working. Bit of a fiddle
and squeeze to get the carb on.
One of the coil tabs was cut off and repositioned.
Skidplate was made up with an old sheetmetal roller Ive got at work.

One thing I did learn is dont bother with one of those fancy stainless bolt kits you see advertised ebay etc... I got one and only used a handful.
Just go and get all the old bolt replated
and it makes a world of difference to the build.

Should make for an interesting supermotard.
I did have a few more photos but they done seem to
have found a new home somewhere else.

love the black and white... very utilitarian! Nice work.
So you used the aluminum skid plate to leep the cradle tubes aligned and square, then cut it off? did not like the aluminum plate?

The skid plate was just an after thought really.

Frame was already completed so I just rolled up piece of aluminuim
and shaped it to suite. Welded some tags on the frame and tapped some
holes.

I was thinking about a full bash plate and might still go down that path
a little later. This one really wouldnt take much of a hit as its fairly thin and was only intended to keep crap off the engine.

i made mine from the existing bash plate i had it was 3mm i reused al the brackets but made the skin itself from 6mm and put wings out the sides to protect the fly wheel cover and water pump/clutch cover we have some pretty knarley rocks here i dont have any vibration from it
