wtb good clutch basket....

Post by qkenuf4u »

my 92's clutch basket fingers are NOTCHED REALLY REALLY BAD .... i can clean them up and im sure they would work ok for a bit. would rather put a nice clean non-filed basket in... anyone got one on the cheap in good shape ?

spring for a hinson if you can. a good used oem aint bad choice either. the beater 550 basket was notched but i filed it and its working tits. had it at sand mnt, some local dunes, rode it in the dirt around here several times. works good and it has tusk brand kx500 plates and they seem to be holding up good also. the tusk plates took a beating at sand mnt and never missed a beat so im happy so far. all about how much cash you got :D

running this one in the beater. filed it and its been working real good. trick is to go one step further than filing and get it even smoother with dremel or something. also put a nice afro sheen on the hub teeth as well. plates will slide like butta

every couple oil changes just pull the cover off and make sure everything looks in order. should work good for quit a while. now i think of it i got filed baskets on 2 bikes and they work fine. probly replace them when they groove again though. can only remove so much material.
